Volumetric Operator/Mixer Operator

The Following attributes will be required to successfully carry out the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily maintenance checks completed on assigned plant
  • Log all required defects / repairs via the maintenance system as they occur
  • Comply with safety legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Report all incidents to the Plant Manager as they occur
  • Maintain the raw material stock
  • Liaise with delivery coordinator to ensure all deliveries are on-time
  • Provide the relevant training and coordination of trainee operators
  • Ensure all deliveries assigned leave yard on time
  • Ensuring that the yard complies with WHSE standards
  • Ensure assigned mixers are appropriately calibrated and routine Quality Control testing is carried out
  • Provide samples to third party concrete testers allowing routine Quality Control testing
  • Provide daily production and plant reports to the Plant Manager
  • Timely delivery of concrete related products to site including required administration tasks

Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years working within the Construction and/or Civil Industry  
  • Good mathematics knowledge with the ability to work accurately to measurement 
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge in their functions and ability to troubleshoot and fix system issues is preferred 
  • Self-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision 
  • Customer focused and able to work in a collaborative team 
  • Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule 
  • Flexibility around domestic travel requirements 

This position includes shift work.

Licences Certificates and Trade Qualifications:

  • Forklift Driver 
  • White Card Licence (Mandatory)
  • Current Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
  • HR Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
  • Full working rights in Australia  (Mandatory)
