Appin Road Entrance and Carpark
Antoun were contracted by Health Infrastructure to build a new hospital carpark and slip lane on Appin Road, Campbelltown. As an operational state road the construction required close coordination with Roads and Maritime Services (RMS), strong communication with utility asset owners (Sydney Water & Telstra) and careful management to ensure traffic flows were minimally impacted.

The scope of works included
- Liaising with RMS and utility owners for the location and protection of existing underground services such as gas, potable water, power, phone lines and drainage services
- Demolition of existing pavements and structures
- Clearing and grubbing of existing trees and vegetation
- Construction of a new hospital carpark, slip lane and traffic signage
The results
Thanks to a detailed traffic management plan, which was developed prior to commencement of work, the project was completed with minimal impact on traffic flows and with zero safety issues reported. Close communication with RMS and utility owners throughout, as well as close coordination of subcontractors, ensured no incidents hampered the delivery schedule.
