Antoun was engaged to undertake the construction of a culvert crossing and associated creek and road works to span the existing creek dividing the Pacific Palms Circuit roadway.

Location:

Hoxton, NSW

Budget:

$3.5m

Duration:

15 weeks

Sector:

Completed:

Nov 2019

The scope of works included

  • Initial works included demolition, site clearing and provision of suitable erosion and sediment control
  • Antoun diverted the existing creek to relocate electrical, sewer, and stormwater services
  • Construction involved building and strengthening base slabs and constructing culverts and retaining walls to ensure work was not impacted by potential flooding as well as bank stabilisation work
  • Finishing works included installing road pavements, kerbs, barriers and hand rails, line marking and signage, sewer main protection, electrical works, landscaping and lighting works impacted by wet weather or potential flooding

The Results

The project involved the construction of a Culvert Bridge over an existing creek to connect a collector road. The new road link provided direct access to Hoxton Park Public School and subsequently reduced unnecessary traffic flow through the surrounding residential streets.
