Antoun was contracted to upgrade the road and drainage at Yarramundi Road, UWS Hawkesbury Campus, including road widening and kerbing, and regrading of swale drains.
WSU Richmond, NSW
The scope of works included
- Initial work required a redesign of existing stormwater drainage networks in areas directly affected by the proposed new road works and the appropriate redirection of these services
- Surrounding swale channels were regraded and discharged into the existing stormwater drainage system to Vines Drive during excavation
- Construction involved kerb widening on both sides of Yarramundi Road including laybacks as required for driveways and pathways, signage and re-sheeting of the
existing road surface
- Final works saw the installation of railings and concrete ramps to connecting buildings
To accommodate students, teachers and other pedestrians, work was completed in two stages to enable continuous access to buildings during construction. Antoun worked collaboratively with the client to ensure the project was completed in a timely and effective manner with minimal disruptions to the University.
